Church Family Outing - Calendar Park 13th July

The sun was shining on the morning of Saturday 13th.  One bus and several cars set out for the annual outing for the children and young people.  Having arrived safely we picnicked on the beautiful grassy area in front of the restored Calendar House.  The young people began their fun activities by following a trail, which had been laid with flour.  A front runner (The hare, aka Ryan) set of first with the rest of the young people and one or two not so young (The hounds) following closely behind.  Ryan was dutifully caught about half round the trail which skirted the house and was laid through the magnificent woodland areas.  With visits to the house, boating, pitch and put, bouncy castle and play park there were lots of things to do for everyone.  The sun continued to shine for the whole day and it was a great opportunity for families to get together.  We rounded of the day with obligatory races and a game of rounders.  All had a great day and there were a few sleepy children - and more sleepy adults - on the bus for the return journey to East Kilbride.

Prizegiving Service

On Sunday 21st June we had our annual prize-giving family service.  Children’s work sector leader Fiona Dalgleish led the service with assistance from some of the children and young people.  Prizes were awarded to all of the children and young people who attend the church and they were presented by Andy Neal - (Hey, well, it was Father’s Day!).
